Charlie Brown and the entire Peanuts gang explore life’s great questions as they play baseball, struggle with homework, sing songs, swoon over their crushes and celebrate the joy of friendship. In this Tony-Award winning musical with music and lyrics by Clark Gesner, we all get to learn that we have a little big of Charlie Brown in us.

Happiness is great musical theatre! With charm, wit and heart, You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown explores life through the eyes of Charlie Brown and his friends in the Peanuts gang. This revue of songs and vignettes, based on the beloved Charles Schulz comic strip, is the ideal first show for those who would like to do a musical. Musical numbers include “My Blanket and Me,” “The Kite,” “The Baseball Game,” “Little Known Facts,” “Suppertime” and “Happiness.” Guaranteed to please audiences of all ages!

CDAI Productions is excited to offer young actors the educational and performance opportunity to perform “in the round” at UAlbany PAC’s Arena Theatre. With Direction by Corey John Snide and Sammy Wilson, Musical Direction and Vocal Coaching by Lisa Franklin and Nick Contois, this is sure to be a theatrical experience like no other!

Audition Details!

Where: CDAI Studios— 767 Troy-Schenectady Road, Suite 4 Latham, NY 12110

When: Tuesday, September 16th, 2025 from 630-830pm.

CALLBACKS: Thursday, September 18th, 2025 from 630-830pm.

Please prepare a 16-32 bar cut of an upbeat musical theatre song. You may sing from the show if you would like to but we encourage your young artist to pick a song that showcase their personality and character. We will hand out SIDES (audition script) to be peformed at callbacks as needed. Even if you don’t receive sides, everyone is being considered for Principal and Ensemble Roles in this show.

Performance Details!!

REHEARSALS: Starting Jan 6th, 2026.. rehearsals will be every Tuesday from 630 - 830 until and including February 10th. Then there is MANDATORY rehearsal week from 10-4 during February Break (2/16 - 2/20). There will be two more Run Through Rehearsals on Tuesday 3/24 and 3/3. All of these rehearsals will be held at CDAI Studios in Latham where you audition.

TECH: March 9th - 13th at UAlbany’s Arena Theatre from 5pm - 9pm. Please note: Tech week is a strict No-Conflict policy unless pre-approved by the production team.

SHOWS: March 14th at 2pm and 7pm and March 15th at 12pm and 5pm.
